Although I had kept e-mail records of non-fiction and fiction submissions for publication, I had not actually organized these in a file. Today I created a couple of files, one for fiction and another for non-fiction submissions. So far the fiction file is empty, though I have some materials, mainly poems, just about ready to submit, while the non-fiction file is growing.
Now that, with blogcritics, I will be submitting articles and reviews more often, I do need to be organized and keep track. Although I've written a great deal, for my three university degrees and on my personal blogs, I am just now entering more fully into freelance writing for publication.
I feel good about it. I just thought I'd share this as part of the process part of this blog. As always, if anyone has suggestions from personal and/or professional experience in the freelance writing world, or would like to offer encouragement, please feel free to comment or send me an e-mail.
